Descriptive poem about nature mountains the forest
A chapter in the book The Poets Menagerie

The Nature of Mother

by Lea Tonin1

The shattered minerals, where mountains reach

Piercing the clouds, against the azure skies

Their granite peaks smile, a majestic site

Reflective dawn, in fading evenings fall

Green forests climb where rivers sweetly flow

Through valley's forge, where sun strawberries grin.

The gentle hills, a rolling verdant wave

A peaceful, sweet scene, the souls in rest sleep

An orchestra of nature's grand design.

An eternal gift looked truly alive

Hundred chickadees whispers in sweet breeze.

Through eon's aged trees, among rustling leaves

The rockies brisk air, crisp and clear and pure

A brilliant hue, a verdant living scene

Where eagles float on wings of grace and might

And hidden streams shine, the fading pink sun

A sanctuary where weary souls roam

Far from the city and it's bustling crowd

In nature's embrace, creation is found

On grassed sacred ground where peace does survive.

So this one was a real head scratcher. I must counted syllables, lines parameters, a many, many times. I still don't think I have it right. However, I shall give my attempt as is. Because my head hurts now.
