To stand at death's door...
Some stand within death's shadow, yet, still live to serve the night.
this foolishness signs peril's scroll though dancing in sin's light.
They walk with man's destructive will, not knowing whom they stalk;
they laugh and mock creation's way, against God's goodness balk.
So why do men resist the truth and look the other way,
while searching through Earth's treasures, choosing darkness not the day?
I'm just a face that mocks the Lord, I'm standing with this throng;
I'm shocked as Jesus' eyes meet mine, I am His heart and song.
He hangs upon that holy cross I hear His voice cry out.
Forgive them Lord they do not know, though in their angst they shout.
Yet God, for love, became a man and as a babe was born;
He chose to walk the dust below, on Him was cast sin's scorn.
For Jesus stood within sin's gap, forgave the mocking throng;
His fiendish foe is what are, yet, He sang redemption's song.
And just in time I saw myself, I wore this filthy shroud,
"Please save me Lord," (I hear my voice) among this angered crowd.
I'm filled with peace as all my stain's consumed by Christ's pure light,
and what was once, is blown away, as dust, now out of sight,
(The redeemed)
Eternal plains lie filled with folk, they dance before a throne
a voice booms out, you're welcome child, you are my son, my own.

And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left. And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, ! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross! So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying, He saved others; he cannot save himself. Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe. Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.
