A ballad about life
All of Life Is Memory by Robert Zimmerman

I rose up from my bed today
I’ve seen a thousand moons
A vision filled my mind and heart
Like millions of balloons

The rubber globes are memories,
each holding many dreams.
Some made me smile; some made me frown;
the view, not like it seems.

I felt a chill while dreaming there.
All life is memory.
While living lo these many years,
This vision, now I see.

I cannot change my dreams or times.
They’ll float eternally.
I only know, I learned today.
All life is memory.

The air within my lungs right now
is all the gift I own.
My life will change when I exhale.
This moment will have flown.

While contemplating all I’ve been.
One visual I see.
I cannot change a single thing.
All life is memory.

Author Notes
We are spiritual beings.
We live physical lives.
There is eternal life according to the Bible
This is an observation of what our life consists of.
I created the graphic image using MS Copilot

I dedicate this poem to my friend, Rachelle Allen.
