My previous posts here under Rod007
I have been away from Fanstory for many years. I came back on a week ago under Mango8$. Can I repost my previous posts or not?

Perhaps you should ask Tom about that?

Mango, is there some reason you can't just continue under your previous account? You can always change the profile name.

Sorry, Rod. I wrote a reply (below) assuming that you had returned and were using your old account but had simply changed your account name. Now I've checked and see you've opened a completely new account, so none of what I've written applies to you!
I can't see Rod007 in the membership list but it's possible it's been archived. It may be worth writing to Tom to see if it can be reactivated and your new membership transferred over...
For general interest, here is what I wrote about re-posting before I realised I was wasting my time!
***********************************
You can't re-post something already posted as if it is a new post.
HOWEVER, if your intention is to repost something to bring it to the attention of a new audience (that is, all the new folks who have joined since you were last here) there is a way to do that. You simply have to buy a special certificate called Treasure Chest Revive. NB the piece must not have been posted in the last two years.
Here's how to do it:
1. Go to your portfolio and find the piece you want to re-promote. Click to open.
2. In the options under the title select 'Promote.' This will take you to the page where you select what Certificate to use. At the top it should offer you Treasure Chest Revive. Purchase that (it costs $9.95 FS Dollars - same as the normal Treasure Chest) This option gives you an extra day of promotion - four days as opposed to the normal three.
3. Now use that on your post as usual. You can purchase and use Member Cent Pumps as usual to move it up the list.
4. Your fans, new and old, will be notified of the post, but if they have already reviewed it they won't be allowed to do so again. They may be able to edit their old review, I think.
Tom's words above are actually misleading - sorry, Tom. You are free to re-post ANY piece, even if it's less than 2 years old, but what you are doing is simply RE-PROMOTING it.
For example, if you think your latest piece didn't get the number of reviews it deserved, simply buy a new certificate and apply it. In this case fans won't be notified, but you may well pick up extra reviews from those who didn't see it the first time around.
