Sorry, Barbra, my cataracts are so thick now I can only read a few at a time, and that's on very large print. I'm catching up with you today.
That was a grueling scene with poor Myra, I do hope Sami and Noah will be able to foster her, she will be in excellent hands if she can. Now I'm wondering if Noah is finally going to propose, that would be great. I'm off to read your next chapter. As you can see I'm not posting for a couple of weeks, I need to rest up for a while. :)) Sandra xx

Barbara,
Your story has taken some nice turns. Human trafficking is such a horrible world-wide travesty. It's good that you call attention to the victim's plight.
I wish you the very best with this novel and all your writing.
Your take on a social ill is excellent; and I love that you put a love story within its pages.
Merry Christmas, Barbara.

Thank you for the encouragement.

I like your dialogues. They are an interesting way to move the story along, for the reader.
One note:
"I guess you know Jesse was killed in Viet Nam."
Vietnam is one word.
Have a good day,
Alex

You're right. I'm surprised some else didn't catch it. I appreciate the help.

I'm glad it helped. You've certainly helped me before, too.
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Alex :)

Thank you for not going into what and how they tortured Myra. My imagination is bad enough so I don't need help. I like that they got to meet Amber and hear her story. Definitely glad they saw Myra. Such a sad thing that this is really happening. Great story. Gretchen

Thank you for understanding. To me what happened to Myra doesn't move the story along. We just need to know it happened.

Hi Barbara,
I'm sorry I don't have another 6 for this sweet and moving chapter. We see in it that Myra had a really rough time of it in her captivity. I'm glad she made it out, but not untouched. That's sad, but I like the way Sammi and Noah are committed to helping her recover and have a home when she gets out.
Christmas Hugs,
Rhonda

I am so glad I found you. When I finish here, I will be friends with you. This is an excellent chapter. There is one edit.

Thank you for giving me enough information I could find that mistake. Another reviewer mentioned it but I read over and over again, searching for it. I appreciate the help. THANK YOU!!!!

Have you published any books since I was gone.
-
Not sure. When did you leave? I have a total of 9 books published.
-
Sorry 8 published books. I got ahead of myself.

I have been off for almost a year.

I've had 'Prayers Answered,' and maybe, 'Love for the Win', and 'Texas Enticement' published this year.

Congratulations!

Myra has a long way ahead until she is well. Thankfully she has Sami and Noah on her side. She is lucky.
Well done, Barbara, another compelling chapter. It's nice to see Noah and sami's relationship. It's hard to believe they met a month ago. But when the right one comes along you know.

Hello Barbara,
I enjoyed this chapter. I think I must have missed something along the way, I don't recall reading anything about Amber in previous posts. I liked the way this chapter moved along, passing from one character to the next, without being overwhelming.
Have a blessed evening gal.

Sami found her letters in the puzzle box. She didn't actually show up until now. Thank you for the kind review.

Sami's strong character shows through as she wishes to become Myra's sponsor. Noah's promise to be there with Sami to help Myra may be really hard to realize. There are two problems: Pararaph 10 ends in quotes but you used third person. Noah's wrist comm . . . sentence has missing word.

Aww. Noah and Sami are going on dates and even have papers to adopt Myra. Wow, they're practically parents before marriage! That's so sweet.
One suggestion:
"Yes, Mateo carried you out, and I ensured both your safety as you left." Sami studied Noah as he" (I would put a speech tag about Noah because it's always jarring to me to see someone else's name after quote.

I'll see what I can do about that sentence. Maybe it needs a complete rewrite. Thank you for pointing it out.
