I do like your contribution to this Renga. Thanks too for you author's note.
Given your note, I did not think that "bitterly" was the best word choice. "in mem'ry" might be an alternative for the Shah's tears/feelings.

I am so happy you contributed to the Renga Book. It's an excellent chapter that follows the previous verse perfectly. The poem has the right composition. I love your beautiful presentation and imagery. Good syllables and connection between lines.

It's almost a wondrous thing to be so much in love with one's wife the you would build such a memorial to her in her honour, it would be so Fabulous, so rich, so extravagant, but such a romantic, well done, blessings Roy

This 5-7-5, As Spring Moon Rises, has the proper formatting and brings the Taj Mahal into the growing renga which has extended the initial feelings of one, to those of many.
