I would not change a single thing. This is very good.
I am bogged down getting to write a western. I have tried most things. Well I haven't done all of the poems that would take several years. There are over 300 types and counting. And, I haven't written a script either. Dialogue gives me a head ache. Great work here, Love to you and yours. Karen

    Hi Karen.
Thank you very much for your positive, and uplifting review and comments. I appreciate you taking time to read the poem and to render a supportive review. I see your comments about what you should write next. I have a motto about my writing. I write what I think, feel, and believe. I write every day and only publish here about once every week or two.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness and analysis of this work in a positive fashion. I am grateful for and honored by your six-star award.

What does the shirt say? I had a bumper sticker on my car ( back when I could drive) It said, I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you! I agreed with everything you wrote sweetie pie. It was honest, and I could could feel that. Unless people are my friends I do not offer edits anymore. I have read a lot of good, and a lot of really bad stuff too. I skip them, and move on. Yours was a joy to read. Karen

I am reading a book on consciousness, and it meshes with your poem, all memories make up our past. We have some control over our future, but we must live in the present.

    Hello Don.
I appreciate your comments in the first sentence, and I find it interesting in the comparison. Our history shapes who we are, and without it, we have no future. From a Christian perspective we are guaranteed the air in our lungs right now. Everything before that breath is history, everything after that exhale is unknown. Faith is what keeps us going. Your final statement encapsulates the entirety of life. Your feedback is appreciated, and I hope you found enjoyment in reading the poem.

This poem, All of Life Is Memory, chooses ballons to represent all of our life's happenings which are compartmentalized but all together all the time. They float.

    Thank you, Bill.
You're right. Each of the balloons represents a single memory. They do float, and occasionally some of them pop. I appreciate you taking time to review the poem and I enjoyed reading your comments.

This is an interesting poem Robert... (Rob? Bob? What is your preference?)
The image immediately made me think of the movie - Up
I enjoy your use of the balloon metaphor to illustrate the fragility of memory and that these moments can fly by and past us without being able to hang on to them if we don't cherish each one.
A very good piece of work
Tim

I like your theme that life is memory because it is so true. You have a smooth flow of lines and verses that adds to the strength of your theme. I like the image of the moons as a thousand balloons. It gives a good feeling to your words.

The author's words are engaging, interesting and creative. I pondered
on the author's point of view and yes, it has many memories. The
poem flows and connects well. Thank you for the author's notes - I agree
with the author's statement! The artwork is awesome and compliments
the theme and words of this poem.

We definitely are spiritual beings Robert. I live by the "pilgrim concept". I'm just passing through this life on my ways to my real home.

Your poem is very creative from the artwork which is intriguing all the way to the last line. I felt like it supports my Pilgrim concept of life.

Blessings
Janet

    Hi Janet.
Thank you very much for your positive and uplifting review. I am very grateful to you for the six star award. I appreciate your personal comments about living the Pilgrim concept. That's how Moses said he would live his life in exodus 2: 22. He referred to himself as "a stranger in a strange land." That certainly sounds like the "Pilgrim concept" and it is how we live. I agree with you completely. Memories we have are what reminds us of who we are and where we are headed.
Thank you so much for your positive review of the poem and its meaning. I am very pleased it means something to you.

As soon as I inhale, this moment will have flown. Time is fleeting. Let's make more memories while we can. A lot of food for thought in a lovely ballad. Thanks for the reminder.

It's not quite that you can't reshape your past, but you can shape your future by shaping your present, but we could change nothing in which case case our lives would be doomed to being a memory, beautifully written Robert, blessings Roy
