This poem nicely follows the syllabic requirements of a nonet. The only suggestion I have is to change the word "Owls" in the first line to singular: Owl.
That is because the rest of the verbs appear to reflect a singular subject. So the first line would be: Owl is in the treetop, searching prey
Good choice of action verbs. I guess 'swooshes' would also qualify as onomatopoeia.

You captured the moment of the kill in your nonet as owls have to eat and the rabbit loses his life. The food chain continues. A nonet is usually written from nine syllables to one and yours is ten to one. I would check the competition rules and I wish you luck here, love Dolly x x x

I like this animal nonet -captures the mood and sprit of the prompt. Owls are majestic creatures and very good hunters. They have incredible vision and can see the movement of their prey sweeping down from on high to grave their dinner.
