Well, you did it, Melissa. Not too many squeeze six stars out of me, but this is exceptional. I really like poems that harken back to days gone by.

This is a very nicely written and rhyming quatrain that you have used for this poem. I enjoyed listening to it very much and it flows very well when it is read loud and you have a wonderful day and a very good week.

This is a warm and endearing story of the robe that remains tattered and torn with memories within the seams Melissa and I enjoyed this skilful, touching and well metered and rhymed poem, a pleasure to read this quality poem, love Dolly x

Very touching poem highlighting the deep bond to the past we have through memories, in this case, they're resurrected by the robe that surrounds her with comfort and joy. Sweet sentiments.

Awe, Melissa, this is a bit melancholic when a old rope reminds the mother of her children when they were small. Every little rip and spot has a story to tell. I loved it. Ulla xcx

A lovely poem Melissa, yes, great memories are like fine jewels, they cannot fade with age, nor can they be corrupted by the world, imposing its will on them, they remain as a memorial to love. Beautifully written in great writing my friendly blessings Roy

Hello Yvette. Thank you so much for your lovely review. To tell you a secret... I have an old sweatshirt instead of a robe... but, you can't write a poem about a sweatshirt can you? LOL. Hugs, my friend.

Your poem is so heartfelt. I loved how you shared the tattered robe. The gentle rhyme perfectly works in this poem. It feels like a cozy hug! This is a beautiful tribute!

This is such a sweet poem and easy to relate to as a mother myself. The memories seem to cling to many of the things we were and use around the home and it's often hard to part with them even after they become old and need a change.

I can see this happening. Perhaps, with you, too.
Another item that feet adorn would be slippers, warm and confortable.
Well done.
Thanks for sharing.
