I'm glad that I had a good night's sleep and don't plan to take a nap any time soon. lol
Your sure can write a creepy first person POV, Brett.
Another fine Howler story, my friend.

Seems I prefer to write in First Person. Glad you enjoyed this little tale about nightmares. They really are not much fun. Your comments and support appreciated.

Ha, ha, good story, Brett. A very well written piece that explains so well all the things that go bump in the night. The hiding under the covers to ward off the evils of the night, which won't do any good, was great. That's usually the first thing kids do when the get scared. Good stuff there, Brett.

LOL - I'm certainly glad I am reading this with my morning tea and not my nightcap!!!
It's a sneaky piece of writing ;-) I started out bemused at the jaunty tone and seemingly humorous monologue...but the further along I read, the more I began to feel "something" sort of crawling under my skin! By the time I got to the end......my happy face had slipped.
Well done :-)

Master of scariness. You live inside everyone's mind. Terrorizing with every thought we might have. Try as hard as you can, my thoughts are mostly beautiful and full of fun. I clean all the dark corners out everyday where you may hide.

This was a good read. I am not usually one to read horror or thriller stories, but said this morning, I want to read this one. Blessings for a good weekend. Patricia

A good write, Brett. You held my interest throughout your piece, I liked your use of description which I thought worked really well and I thought that your ending line was a clever way to end it. Thanks for sharing...Jacob
