Yvette, reading this is good for the soul and I can't begin to imagine what pleasure you got from penning the latest chapter in this delightful saga.
Even the title made me chuckle.
Now my dear friend I have a favour to ask. Our garden is a hot mess, badly in need of landscaping. Can you please send Nicholas and the crew over ASAP? I'm already visualizing that luminous vine on the garden wall. :+))
Stay safe and creative
Blessings Julia

Oh, I'm so glad you think Nick and his crew could help out... I guess the first question would be: do you have a map of your gardens for Valentin to De-vine? ;) ;) ;) Thanx for keeping up with Nicholas and his crew, my lady -- I do so appreciate you! ;) Be sure to have a great day over there! :) Yvette

Hello, Yvette,
Wonderful chapter....very descriptive. I like Valantin introduction to Nicholas. The story is engaging throughout and especially the end makes one want more about the Devining. Well done, my friend.

Yvette,
Nice work! I thought we had already met a lot of the gang, but you keep adding wonderfully fascinating characters.
Notes:
1.) Archie clambered up (o)nto the rickety desk chair
2.) Archie clambered up into the rickety desk chair that made some very uneasy creaks and groans as he did so.
--> the 'as he did so' seems superfluous = edit?
3.) It increased with its clasping motions that were exaggerated
--> delete 'with'?
Great writing, as always~ Thanks so much!

Thanx so much, Robyn, for those catches... always so appreciative of a second set of eyes! ;) Being the nut that I am, I think I just might be enjoying writing this one as much as I?m hoping young minds will enjoy reading it ? LOL!! ;) As always, thanx for keeping up with Nicholas & crew... :) You be sure to take care over there and stay dry today! ;) Yvette
P.S. Soooo.... you're looking for a single piece (like Lee's -- that's for example 'like' not written 'like') about dialogue... is that right?

No, I have no ideas in mind - just an instructional

Hello Yevette.
There seems to be a lot of stuff going on inside in this chapter. The most unusual thing to me was the vine waved to Nicholas.
I have to say, if a vine waves to me, I'm leaving. Maintaining my sanity is hard enough these days without foliage waving to me.
As Nicholas is introduced to all of the other "characters" in the garden I'm guessing we will see much more interaction.

This was a very nice, descriptive piece. The imagery that you describe throughout makes it very easy for one to feel as though they are there with the characters. I especially liked it in the first paragraph when the flight trail of the imps was described.

So glad to have you on-board, Monica -- this is a fun easy-to-follow story that provides a complete 'escape-from-reality' for the reader (notice it's written for the pre-teen age group)... but PLEASE just drift on back a few chapters and catch up cuz we're loaded with fun here with Nicholas and his crew (and perhaps you may enjoy the distraction...? wink, wink)!! ;) You be sure to take care out there in your hotel corner of the universe and be careful of this latest mess headed y'all's way! ;) Yvette

I liked reading this. Waving vine leaves and all the others in attendance with Constantine leading the way, it sounds like Nicholas is now officially the new Groundskeeper. I think younger readers will have to look up "iteration."

Think it's best that they have to look up a word or two her and there, don't you? :) ;) I'm guessing that's the teacher (and mom!) in me - lol! ;) :) As always, thanx for keeping up with Nicholas & crew... :) You be sure to take care out there in your corner of the universe and enjoy the weekend! ;) Yvette

An absolutely great continuation chapter Yvette. You described the introduction of Valantin to Nicholas very well. You provided anticipation and eagerness throughout and especially the last paragraph making one want more information about the Devining. Very well done and very much enjoyed.

Another wonderful, colourful chapter to this amazing story, Yvette. I wonder what the new 'friend' will be like. The vine is certainly a beautiful thing going by your lovely description. The imagery in this part certainly gives us more to see as the story continues. It was lovely to see another chapter, my friend. Well done, can't wait to read then next part. I think I found a couple of my nits that wandered over to yours!! LOL Warm hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx
"Groundskeeper Nicholas," Archie continued as (he) removed his hand
they may[,] be in trouble again... Does that comma need to be there?
