In this world we will always have adversity and war is at the top. We struggle for peace but there is none. The only peace we will ever have is in Christ. He said, "My peace, I give to you, not like the world."

Our leaders are interested only in power and money. And they are willing to start wars that ordinary folk have to fight.
Those in power are not acting in the people's best interest. They use our tax money to buy bombs that kill children.
Our leaders say we must go green yet they pollute the air, water, and soil with their warfare. Ukraine's grain is contaminated with arsenic and mercury due to the war.
Biden a month ago pressured Zelensky to lower the draft age to 18... cause the proxy war ( lost already in Sep 2023) must continue but the Ukraine army is ten feet under.

I think 2025 will bring the end to some wars, and a better and safer state of things for this country, because whether you like him or not, our new President loves this country and her people and will be a positive force, trying to help, not hinder. I am hopeful.

I certainly share your sentiments here, Harry, and can sense you have a genuine desire to express what's going on in your heart. May I suggest, though, that if you're going to use rhyme that you also do some research on rhythm/meter because it would REALLY improve your work and make it sound WAY more professional? What you have here MAY work as a song, but honestly doesn't really work as poetry yet. Try reading it aloud. That will tip you off as to where the rhythm isn't flowing, ok?

The sincerity of your words show you are a loving soul with a heart for humanity. The faces of the children in war-torn areas of the world are heartbreaking to see. The hatred and poverty in our own country is devastating. Will the world ever see international peace? We can only hope. Your poem is well written and thought-provoking.

Virtual Six You're speaking to the choir. I was literally a flower child in the 60s with much older siblings protesting for peace. I'm also an artist and empath so every account of harm or pain toward others hurts me. I pray for peace, yearn for peace, vote for peace. We must make peace more lucrative for those who value money and power than maybe we will have peace on earth. We must trick them, I'm other words. ;) I enjoyed reading this.
