This is a beautiful, much needed prayer. I join with you.
Your message is clear and full of hope for change.
The rhythm and rhyme are very smooth, and your wording is eloquent and heart-felt.
The background color is representative of the Royalty of our God, and a clever choice. :)
I enjoyed this entry very much. No revisions.
Blessings,
~Nic

Thank you so much for joining with me for it is that reason it was written. It is in the contest for exposure and also because the picture truly was the inspiration for it, but it is the prayer I cry every day. Thank you for your understanding.

Dawn:
This is a very inspirational poem. I am impressed by the richness of the words. Also, to convey a message of this magnitude in the rhyming scheme is quite a feat!
Couldn't think of anything that would enhance this poem.
Best of luck to you in the contest.

Thank you very much I truly appreciate your kind words.

Has a strong message. I enjoyed reading it, thought that somehow separating every two lines or so would help break up the rhythm. I think it does a good job of capturing the emotion from the picture.
Good luck on the contest.

Usually in a sonnet I will present it in this format. Thank you very much for your kind and generous review.

Lovely prayer and it flows with grace. Liked the color purple used etc. I didn't see any spelling problems, etc. Good luck in the contest.

A very powerful poem. I really getting to like this picture that invokes so many different interpretations. This poem really expresses the feeling of the danger our world is in. Satan has his grips. But, there is a lot of hop in this poem that really shined through. It seemed more like a cautionary feeling. Thanks for the poem. I really enjoyed reading it!

Thank you very much for reading it and understanding. I see you live in Denver, I'm just up the road in the Greeley area. Nice to meet a neighbor.

Dawn, What a moving and timely prayer. You really grabbed my attention with this Sonnet, which is written very well. Too many of our countrymen/women have forgotten how blessed we are in this nation and that it is our creator we owe for these blessings. I pray with you that more will see.

Thank you, I truly appreciate that. I don't think this country truly understands how critical of a place we are in. We are turning away from God, throwing him out of our schools, wanting to take him off our money. We are rejecting him, the people need to be reminded of Sodom and Gomorrah. Thank you once again moreso for your pray with me than the mark, but both are appreciated.

Beautiful prayer poem that flows well and has lots of meaning and passion in its words. So true that many need to get back to the Lord. Thanks, Jeanette

This is a wonderfully written prayer and the sentiments are absolutely spot on. No matter what you bent in on these issue, no one should deny the Creator and the power He holds to influence our lives if we will give Him the chance.

You are right, but so many have turned their backs on him. Thank you for your understanding.

What a moving interpretation this is of the artwork - the rainbow of hope being what you pray for, and the bleak landscape symbolic of the sad state our country has fallen into in recent years. Praying for God's guiding touch right now seems so totally appropriate, and your prayer is so heartfelt and well written.

Thank you for your lovely words. I'm not a fanatical religious person but I do have great faith in God, he delivered me out a very serious place and if not for Him I wouldn't be here today. This country is in a pivotal place and we so need to turn our thoughts back in that direction. If we push him away the wrath of the world will be upon us. My humble thoughts anyway. Sorry I'm rambling. I hope you have a very blessed day. Hugs, Jo Lynn
