Damn! Woman! It's hard to read a story when you're trying not to cry most of the way through the story! I have to say... my family has been lucky for the most part, with the exception of an older uncle that passed away in some war before I was born, we haven't lost men to war in my family that I'm aware of, though they have gone. ...War... it had to be a man thing... we would never have bothered with something so exhausting.

What a beautiful, sad, and very romantic story, and the descriptions of that terrible plane that was bringing unwanted news, the feelings you have, and had, a truly moving read, very well written, and the artwork fits perfectly, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

The crushing line in the story was, "It was just me and...yeah, just me now." I knew what was coming when the cargo plane pulled up. The last statement resolved the story sadly. Good one. Z

So glad you enjoyed this one, Lady Judy -- just a hint: look up the name 'Arthur Curry' online...like I said in the author notes, I didn't choose the name by accident, twas deliberate. :) ;) So many folks saw this one as her committing suicide...I guess, as an author, I'm glad they got what was best for them out of it, buuut, shhhhhhh, that was not the intent! ;) ;) Thanx for dropping in, ma'am, and have a great week! ;) ;)
