Thank you so much, Rebecca, for your positive review. I'm delighted you are enjoying these animals. I intend to put one on every Wednesday while I'm finishing Eric's other book. Have a lovely day, my friend and stay safe. :) Sandra xx

My pleasure. Have you looked at drudgereport.com lately?

I'd never heard of it ... now I have! My goodness, what is happening in your country? There will be millions of deaths if they carry on like that. Just stay in, don't go out, I'd hate to read you've caught it. It's so dangerous!

Congratulations on your tender heart, grandchildren are so easy to love, my feeling were intense when my kids were young, (still intense) but grands are certainly a great substitute for them. I remember a dyslexic friend of mine who couldn't read or write, I taught him guitar, but his rhythm was way off, but he could read the Bible. That is one convincing testimony to the love of God. Well done, Sandra, my best to Eric. Blessings, Roy

Your love for your children and grandchildren has always warmed my heart, Roy. That is amazing that he could read the Bible, that in itself is one of God's miracles. We see them every day when we open our eyes to look carefully. Thank you for reading my letter B, my friend. You and your family stay safe. :)) Sandra. xx

You too dear girl.

Fun from poem to adult notes! I didn't know that they could live 30 to 40 years! I liked the drawing, too.
My husband recently told me that the newest theory about coronvirus is that a bat infected a dog which then infected a human.

The virus has been blamed on the bats, when you think how the Chinese catch and eat them, they must get scratched or bitten when they trap the bat, it's not going to go quietly. Once in a person's blood, that's it, we have a pandemic on our hands. Thank you for reading, my friend. I really appreciate it. Stay safe. :)) Sandra xx

When I saw I like bats, people look at me strangely. I had a bat box for years but could never attract any. We could use some help with mosquitoes around here. I love it that they share with each other. I had no idea. They really are lovely creatures.

You'd be surprised how many people do like bats, Colorado has a Bat Week to honour them. They love them! So, you're not alone, Yvonne. :)) Thanks for reading my second letter, my friend. Take care. Next up is the crab. That is really interesting, too! Big hugs, and stay well. Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra. This is excellent and worthy of a sixer if I had one. I enjoyed your informative post on the bat. Bats are beneficial for controlling the insect population. Where I lived in the California mountains everyone had bats, it seems, in the eaves of their houses. On the flip side, bats do carry diseases as we are experiencing now with Covid. I think you should continue to include that information in your post. Marilyn

Thank you, Marilyn. These are written for the older children, 9+ so I'm sure they'd be fine with it, but thought I'd put the question out in case I was wrong. Thank you so much for this lovely review, my friend, to know you thought it worthy of a six, has made my day. :)) Big hugs, Sandra xx

So--bats are NOT blind, or near-blind! Another popular simile bites the dust! LOL! This piece, poem and prose, is very well-written and amazingly informative.

No, bats aren't blind. It's taken me a lifetime to discover that!! LOL. Thank you so much, Janice, for your lovely review. Have a great day! :)) Sandra xx

What a wonderful Grandma you are, sharing your talent to help Eric. Well, this certainly is entertaining and informative for children and adults alike.
I smiled at the line: animals supply the blood. That's a nice, gentle way of saying it, haha. A very enjoyable read, Sandra. Hugs, Lou

Thank you so very much for the 6 stars, Lou. That's so nice of you. I'm a gentle type of lady!! LOL. I'm delighted you enjoyed this part, there were many surprises in my research, but couldn't get them all in. Big hugs, my friend, and have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

Right now in today's society, I would not include the part about the diseases bats can carry. The part about Texas I would include. I have seen the bats. I watched a documentary about how this present day virus most likely started, and yes, it is probably man made, but the scientist took the virus from bats and manipulated it. This original virus in bats was no danger to humans. Thank you for sharing.

Bats are not my favourite creature, but it seems they do have their uses. Not so keen on the infectious diseases they spread around, though. Thank you, Barbara, for your input, I will leave the Texas part in the book. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

A very well written piece on bats. They freak me out actually. But I knew they were good to have around to keep the mosquito population down. A very interesting chapter. Keep up the great work!

The freak me out two, but I was surprised when I read all the info on them. They are a strange mixture, both good and bad. Thank you for reading, B, Drew, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. I'll be posting a letter every Wednesday from now on. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra x

Very interesting about bats. I enjoyed the read. As far as you adding in about the virus, depends on the age of your grandson. I don't think that a child under the age of 6-7 would understand about the virus bats carry. I did not find any mistakes in your work. Have a blessed day. Shirley

These are for the 9+ age groups. I think I'll water that bit down a little so they have an idea of the dangers and the benefits. Thank you so much, Shirley. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading it. Have a lovely day, my friend. xx :) Sandra xx
