ROFL! Who ever thought any of us might have ever won a bet we would have ended up wishing to lose. But damsels and dames can cause us to do many things. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This is fantastic, Terry! How did I miss this one? I'm not sure, but I'm happy I finally had the chance to read it. Congratulations on the win! It is well deserved, my friend.

John, thank you very much, FanStory did not announce the winner of this contest, I don't know why.
Hey, go back to work, I along with a group of others are waiting on the next chapter! Terry.

I did not check for the words required and found the story quite compelling. I wonder what she is doing today. Might make for another story, if you kept in touch with the girl from hell.

The poem is great and the picture matches up with it. Maybe with the word "devil" you could add a sentence between "She had challenged me." and "If I could beat her at Texas Hold-Em, she would be mine forever and a day. I knew the art of poker was to make the opponent bet a hand they thought could not lose." Saying something like "She was undefeated at any game and some even call her the devil". Just a suggestion.

A well written and humorous effort from a difficult prompt. I cannot offer any criticisms as the grammar is perfect. Is this a true story because she sounds an awful lot like my ex-wife!

Malcolm, LOL, I assure you it is not your ex-wife. It is all fiction.

Ohoh, a very bad twist of emotions. One man's treasure is another man's garbage. It hurts to find it out the way you did though. If only you could have a "do-over"
Clever tale.

This is a cute flash. I guess the moral is be careful what you wish for and maybe next time someone claims someone is a devil, pay more attention.
The is a great little 100 word story.

This is a great short short story piece. Makes me want to read more about this relationship. How did she become the devil? And is this really fiction?
