An enjoyable chapter. So, Ben Paul and Sylvia can't seem to find a straightaway route home without some stops and adventures along the way. Oh well, keeps life interesting. You've got me curious about what could have been in that bank teller's drawer. I have a feeling it will be significant in the next chapter.

Of all the things that could have happened at the bank that morning, no one would have ever suspected a robbery. Most people don't, but it could happen at any time when we stop to do business. Thanks for sharing.

Normally, Bible verse are written in numerals, not letters. Romans twelve: twelve would be Romans 12:12. A sentence like "... Romans, chapter five beginning with the first verse." This is different, but correct.

Now we're all wondering what is in the heavy canvas satchel, which may have been what the robbers were really after.

Have a good week, Wayne.

Thank you. I try to write dialogue as true as I can. 12:12 just didn't seem right.
Stay warm. We're getting a cold blast even here in central Arkansas from the northern storm.

Suffering, trials and afflictions are a part of the Christian life, and many believers worldwide experience enormous and dreadful persecution. Yet He uses such things to draw us closer to Himself and to teach us patience in this present life and a strong focus on being with Him soon. Well written.

Thank you. Millionaire preachers can't possibly be reading the same New Testament I do. I appreciate your very nice review.

The subsequent transition to the couple's historical reflection adds depth to their journey, as Sylvia's fascination with the Santa Fe Trail intertwines with their decision to detour through Independence. The dialogue is natural and engaging, showcasing their deep connection and shared curiosity about the past. The mention of wagon ruts in Santa Fe Park subtly ties their present journey to the historical struggles of early pioneers, reinforcing the chapter's overarching themes of resilience and exploration.

Overall, this chapter is a poignant blend of spiritual encouragement and historical curiosity, providing both inspiration and a sense of adventure.

We like to hike, too and hiked in Machu Picchu and Southern France recently.

Ben Paul and Sylvia may be short on money, but they are never short on finding interesting new situations. Fortunately, no one tried to be a hero, and the robbers got away, but not with all the money.

I was just thinking how I'd love to take that trip with Ben and Sylvia. Then, the robbers came. And thanks for another sermon. This is one of the best on the site. Hope you continue with the sermons.

I really enjoyed how you built the tension in this chapter. The way you described the quiet moments mixed with the sudden rush of danger really pulled me in. I loved how Sylvia's personality added to the bank robbery -
it felt natural. Ben Paul's calmness (even when faced with a gun) is great and made me root for him. I'm looking forward to reading more of this!
