I really enjoyed the conversation between Cervantes and Thurston. You bring out many theological truths convincingly. You have some knowledge, or background, of these things, clearly. Your dialogue is not only believable, but convincing, with the 'ring of truth' which is difficult to achieve when writing about these kind of things. The tension continues to build, slowly but surely, towards some climactic end. There is much trouble to come...

The plot does indeed thicken with the priests the leading co-conspirators. Good job there are allies on the side of right to protect the innocent. Well narrated and most enjoyable as always. faye

Very nice and only one suggestion this time:
He may not fully aware
He may not be fully aware
This is the first I have spotted in quite some time. You do very well. Until next time:)

Well, at least Father Thurston is wise enough not to trust Cervantes. Leopold has him hooked. A lot of cloak and dagger stuff going on at the moment. It makes for great reading. Good job.

I get so caught up in your story I forget to look for any errors, but I don't think I found any. Your writing is very good. :>D Miss Sally

Another excellent chapter. Looks ship-shape. No obvious SPAG errors. Lot of script, building character and personality with each character. I can feel this desolate time. Enjoyed it. Count your doubloon. wackydo

Love the last line...reminds my of the scripture that refers to "those who will kill, believing they do God a favor."
"Father Thurston stopped to (great) a family..." (greet)
Funny how I can see yours and not my own. Sanky has to find mine. lol

The tension mounts. I'm glad to hear they plan to move the kids and Julia to the forest. I sure hope they do it in time... why wait even a minute? Shudder. You do a great job of making me despise Leopold. I would love to see him killed somehow, maybe by an act of God, even. Just destroy the bastard! Your stories often scare me, Mikey. But then I'm pretty easy to scare. :)

Every time I read another chapter, I get nervous butterflies in my stomach. You are doing such a terrific job with this story. Not knowing how it will end is emotionally painful, to say the least. Keep up the great work.

I missed a few chapters as you probably noticed but with your intro it is easy to catch up. They are in danger, will be taken to a secret hiding place but they won't be safe there either.
