I have no clue what a Renga poem is, so don't know it if it's good or bad. But! I did enjoy reading the poem, if that counts. I could see the image of the wind blowing. I liked it.

I didn't either, Barbara, but I just followed Gypsy Blue Rose's instructions and hoped for the best! Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

I think you did it perfectly! I'm not sure if there's really any right or wrong but just that the conversation continues 575 to 77 and you kept the wind theme going nicely here!

Bless you, Helen. Thank you for this, and for the boost to my confidence. I have never written a shorty because I don't understand them. But I'm up for them now!! Warmest hugs and love Sandra xx

I'm so happy this reminded you of that time with Mary, my friend. We all have memories that return with just a little nudge. I can see you and Mary together by the lake. Thank you so much for giving my poem a six star, you're a very dear friend. Love you lots. Sandy. xxx

Hello, Sandra,
You did such a great job! Good renga composition. Good syllables count and connection between lines.
We are getting close to Winter Solstice. For us, in Los Angeles it starts on December 21st. Your renga is season perfect.
Well done!

Sandra, I loved your poem and the imagery. I have to look into this form. It comes across a little bit like a haiku or a 7-5-7 poem. I will have to look into it.
I absolutely loved your poem. Lots of love, Ulla xxx

Hi Ulla, it's a 5-7-5 and then someone else finishes with a 7 syllable couplet. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it, you are now a pro at these small Japanese poems, you should do well. Thank you, my friend. :)) Love and hugs, Sandra xx

As I've often said, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet. And I'd imagine that I might have even said that to you over the years, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy and appreciate everything you write. Thanks for sharing.

I know, Ric. And this was just my first attempt at a shorty. I usually write long poems when I do one. But, I had to try! Lol. Glad you looked in, my friend. Love you lots, Sandra xx

Hello, Sandra! So you decided to step out on a limb today (excuse the pun) and join in Gypsy Roses's book of Rengas. Of course, I know nothing about them, but I did read the book from the start till catching up with yours.... I think the poem blends perfectly with the other ones as the seasons move forward and winter steps in. You went from the cozy fire to the fierce wind bending the branches, and the last remaining leaves fell to the ground. I think you've got it!
Smiles, Carol

I did, and I'm surprised the limb didn't crack!! Lol. Thank you, Carol. I knew nothing about them either, but I told Gypsy I would have a go. I hope you're right and that I did get it!! Love and hugs, Sandra xx

I really don't know anything about the rules of poetry or very many forms of poetry but I can tell you this was very good. You showed the wind taking care of final business as it prepares for the onset of winter. Beautifully written. Gretchen
