Aww, now that was the most precious gift that both the lady and the child could have received. The gift of love. That was another beautiful story that made my eyes well up AGAIN! Well done, my dear friend. You have truly added the joy to my Christmas. Love and hugs, Sandra xxxx

Isn't the gift of love the best? I'm glad that my stories touch you and you understand where they are coming from. Thank you so much for the review and for understanding.

This is a wonderful story that would warm the heart of the most unsympathetic reader. Surely you haven't had time to write all these lovely stories in the last few weeks. If you have, you do an amazing job of striking the right note without months of rewrites as I do.

Every story I write comes from that day or maybe the day before...What rolls out of my head is usually what you get.... including the mistakes. LOL. I'm blessed and very thankful.

That's a sweet story. I know orphans are one of your regular themes in your stories and books! And it sounds like two people who need one another just found each other. That Mrs. Hendricks sure sounds like villain and should not be running an orphanage. She sounds more like a slave trader!

I hope that each of my stories touches someone and reminds them about how special love is...regardless of a person or a pet. If I can move you and touch your heart...I am blessed.

Beautiful story, and a very moving one. The child had been rejected time and again, not even considered worthy of love by the director of the orphanage. He will flourish with Mary Ann, and they will both know happiness and fulfilment.

This is such a heartwarming story. I really enjoyed reading it. I like the characters you set up. Your descriptions of the boy and Mrs. Hendricks were so good. Great writing.

Two lonely people who longed for attention and love, found each other. Leland, with low self esteem, never expected anyone to care about him or adopt him. He sat in a playroom alone, swinging his legs contentedly, until Mary Ann arrived. This is another happy ending...my favorite.

What an inspirational story that highlights what we need to see more of in the world today - compassion. There is more happiness in giving than receiving. They gave to each other what each needed - and that bond of love and trust will only get stronger . Beautiful story!

Carol,

What a beautiful story. That poor boy left all alone at the orphanage he must of been sad. It's nice that Mary Ann adopted him.

Well done my friend

It would be an interesting story to continue showing how their lives together worked out and great things happened to them or that they helped each other get through the tough times.

I broke my own rule. I gave you 6 stars again. I have a rule I only give some one six stars once a week. This one made me cry for happy. I rarely cry. I used them up years ago. you found them. Thank you so much, Karen
