Rage manifests itself in a myriad of different ways, doesn't it, Brett? It can empower you and make you feel as if you're invincible, and it can also sap the very right right out of you until you are powerless to stop it.
Sometime it comes in the form of a cruel and uncaring father wielding baseball bats and two-by fours. While others, it can manifest itself as a beaten, battered and abused young man turned hellspawn at the bitter end of a taut rope.
While you have this labeled as horror fiction I will agree, this certainly qualifies as horrific. However, I'm not completely convinced that it's an altogether fictional account either.

You are so right my friend. Parts of it, the use of the 2 X 4, the bat, the complete rejection were all elements of real life from my biological sperm donor. I took creative license to embellish the rest. The revenge factor is what I have always wanted to do to this person. Truly appreciate your comments and support as always. Just sat down at the computer this morning and this appeared. Not sure where it came from. Was indecisive about labeling it Horror or Biographical as it contains the elements of both.

I listen when I find someone knowledgeable about something I can learn from such as you. So, keep right on feeding me and maybe I will eventually get to be half way decent a writer in this genre.

my emotions were in a chuckhold
I had been holding my breath
about a 1/4 way down the page
and it all came to a head at the end.
i'm utterly left bereft of anything left, and so

I was hoping this wasn't true but the sad part is that it could be. Children are abused every day in all parts of the world .

Rage comes in many ways.. It can make you feel powerful and at the same time powerless. This was a very moving write Brett..Could it be a bit here and there from your past? Mine would have been... Much like Feral's stories.. a mix of truth's and fictions can become an addiction..Either way as always great

Good observation. Some of it drew on my past, the baseball bats, the 2 by 4, and the rejection especially. Most of it was embellished for effect. The revenge is what I have always wanted to do to my biological sperm donor, not the man I call my Dad.
