Well, Robert, one thing is for sure. We can't change our lives just lived, but we can certainly change what life is is still left for us to live. That is if we have the will and the strength. I loved your poem. Ulla:)))

    Hello Ulla.
You are so right in saying we cannot change the life we have lived. We begin a new life every day, so we can change this moment forward. I appreciate you taking time to read and I thank you for your positive and uplifting words.

Hi Robert
I was visiting your portfolio to correct the Watchmen review when i read this delightful poem. In fact I read it several times and on each visit my mind filled with memories. I am of an age when memories are so important parents, children, grandchildren.....

What a wonderful and philosophical poem! It embodies the concept of memory and the impermanence of life in such a delicate manner. The use of balloons is quite symbolic of the mass that is our life--some moments of happiness, some of sorrow, but all of them fragile and yet so significant. The line 'All life is memory' stresses on the fact that our experiences in the past define us in the present.

Thanks for sharing

Kind regards

It's hard to grasp the concept sometimes but what you said is true. The only thing we own right now is the air in our lungs. When we die all our memories go with us, so they mean nothing. well written.

This is beautifully written, and it tells of a very important fact of life. Our lives, indeed, our spiritual, and yet we have to live a physical life here on earth. Then, when we die, we will have an eternal life with God in heaven. I wish you the very best with your writing. Also, wish you a very good day and may God bless you. Patricia.
