An interesting chapter in this story - an armadillo? that's something to roll out from under the cabinet. So who did kick the cabinet? Guess we'll find out. Good dialog

Thanx for stopping in on this one, Gail -- and I believe that Constantine said that George Thrasher was the one to beat up the cabinet.... :) :) Have a wonderful week! ;) :)

This is another revelation within the magical garden. Hmm, an armadillo ninja, that's a new one for sure. Nick new job is proving to be a merry time of discovery. The light tone is quite alluring for a child I'm sure.

Some days are different than others finding the cabinet beat up lying on the ground with no one around. The garden knome sure got bent out of shape honking he was being blamed for the cabinet being tossed.

Good lively chapter, illuminating character and ending on a tasty kind of cliffhanger... I have a couple of suggestions below...
"Hey!" He interjected
"Hey!" he interjected
I realized the cabinet was scratched and dented, like someone had tried to break it open.

Oh! another little silly coming out to play! I love your imagination! When you're all done teaching math, you need to move yourself to the creative writing department of that school! LOL

Hello Yvette. It seems everyone in the shed is riled up. My favorite line of this chapter is the quote from Constantine; "Do I look like the kind of fella that would beat up an unsuspecting cabinet?!" While I was pondering that I caught the pink armadillo. Lots of details in this chapter. Z

Oh-oh, a pink ninja armadillo? That sounds cute! I imagine Mattel wanting to do that merchandising. Good move Nicholas' part to offer to get Constantine's hat but did he intend to open the cabinet?
Some gnome graffiti got in your notes. But we are all so used to them.

Thanx for the heads-up on the gnomes.... sassy little characters, you know! ;) :) Appreciate your stopping by on this one, Helen -- always enjoy your point of view! ;) :) Take care and enjoy the Labor Day celebrations! ;) Yvette

This is a 'Fantasy' story and I like it a lot. The interaction between the characters is interesting and believable. Gnomes appear to be a bit touchy, and Constantine is flavoring the tale with an enjoyable level of humor. Write on, my friend!!

So glad you're enjoying this one Janet... I'm aiming it at a younger (say, middle school or so) crowd, but I'm hoping it is enjoyable to parents as well to encourage 'read alongs', you know? :) Thanx for the review and take care! ;) Yvette

This is very well written. Your characters are exuberant and ornery which give a lot of energy to your piece. Descriptions are excellent. I must admit to stumbling a bit here. I think it just needs to be rearranged for smoother read: "A pink, armored ball rolled out from a hole revealed behind there." Marilyn

Sorry, I was kept awake by bad weather and had drifted off with this in my lap early this morning! I'm glad I put it in the bookcase to remind myself! Adorably magical and a new character added to the bunch. I'm so glad you made the armadillo pink.
Sending you my best today as always,
