I hate spiders. I have had a fear of them since I was four years old and I fell down a flight of stairs because a spider that was on my doll ran up my arm. I remember it as a huge spider, but it scared me so I'm not sure. LOL Great essay Sandra. I'm sure it will delight any young boy, but spare me the horror of the thought. I am a bon-e-fied Miss Muffet! LOL Nancy:)

Hello Miss Muffet, LOL, I love that! I don't like them either, but it was between them and snakes, and I HATE snakes, so spiders won. Actually, they were quite interesting, but I still don't like them. Thank you for sharing your story, my friend, and I promise, no more spiders! T coming next! I'm slowly getting through them. Sending you a big hug, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

-I think this is one of your best
animal presentations so far, Sandra.
-I never knew there were so many
kinds of spiders in all sizes and colors.
-I also didn't know that they don't seem
to be harmful to humans, yet most of us
are really afraid of them.
-I know they do good things for the
environment, like taking care of unwanted insects.
-There are a lot to choose from when
deciding on a favorite spider.
-I think I'd have to go with the
Hawaiian Happy Face Spider.
-It's hard not to like something that's happy!
-I like the name, Big Baboon Tarantula,
the color of the Peacock Spider, and
the one in the diving bell.
-Who knew spiders were in the water!
-As you can tell, I really enjoyed this
presentation, information, artwork, and photos.
-Very well done, my friend!

Thank you so much, Pam, for this amazing review. I'm over the moon that you enjoyed it. I've had some mixed responses as you might have guessed. So many people, me included, have a big dislike of them, it's the speed they get up when they run. But, I have changed my mind about them, some are quite charming, especially the Happy Spider, aren't they cute! lol. I did have many thoughts about doing this one, knowing how 'popular' they are, but the other one I thought of was snakes, and I dislike them even more!
Thank you, my dear friend, I really couldn't help myself smiling big time when I was reading through this review. You made my day, my friend. I read this earlier, but we were invited over to my son's home for a belated Birthday party for me, and it was such a surprise to see all my family gathered there waiting for me. So, between you and my family, it has been a lovely day, I think I'll sleep well tonight. Sending you a huge hug, and loads of love. :)) Sandra xx

You are very welcome and deserving, Sandra. I thought you would like it. What a lovely surprise for you to see your family. Things must be good in the U.K. since you are visiting. Wish we could say the same here! Talk to you tomorrow:)

I don't know how you've managed it, but if I didn't particularly like spiders before, I now have a healthy respect for them! So many different types, and all of them so adaptable. So, you've done it again, Sandra. The research you've done will not only help children like Eric, but adults like me!

Likewise! But, I still don't want one near me, that's for sure. I suppose I could always move to the Antarctic, no spiders there!! LOL, I'm sure property is cheap there, too, if you're interested!!! LOL. Thanks so much for the six stars, my friend, and your lovely review. Big hugs, and loads of love. :)) Sandra xx

Some people really have an aversion to spiders. They are fascinating, not to mention, hard working creatures. However, I would never want to have one as a pet. That really creeps me out. Another interesting post, Sandra. Hugs, Lou

Hello, Lou, thank you so much for reading this one about spiders. I was surprised in my researching, just how many people do have spiders for pets. Are they mad???? Thanks again, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

This is another wonderful post on Amazing animals. Spiders are amazing. People see one and their first reaction is to kill it. Maybe this post will change their minds...

I know, I'm not a fan of them, but I do think they are necessary especially when I learnt how many flies they catch. Without them, we would be chocking on them. Thank you, Rebecca, for reading this one and the lovely review. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

The flyswatter is the best thing to use to kill a spider.

I read the other day that British Airways had retired all their Boeing 747 jumbos. Clearly they have given up their struggle trying to burst through those spider's webs.
It is that spider time of the year here again and my bathroom is full of them, daddy longlegs compete to be the most prolific and I have given up trying to cope with the webs.

LOL! Could you imagine if spiders wove thicker webs, my goodness, none of us would survive walking into one, and I hate it when I do that!
Thank you for reading this one, Jim, it wasn't my favourite, but my word, it was interesting. There was one fact about a certain spider I couldn't put in, that a lot of men might want to go looking for it. LOL!! Have a nice day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra, another great piece of work. You fooled me yet again - I went for snake. Great deal of work went into this great piece - this is going to be one heck of a book for your sweet grandson. Well done dear girl. Love Dorothy xxx

Hello, Dorothy, thank you so very much for the six stars, and this lovely review. This one took me ages to research, and then I had to decide what to leave out. I learnt so much. I still don't like them, but I have a healthy respect for them now. Thanks again, my friend. Lots of love, Sandra. xxxx

Oh, beautiful, versatil, numerous, persistently appearing in my house-spiders! Thank you, Sandra, for telling me so many interesting things about spiders. I am not afraid of them, but do not want to touch them, All those hairy legs, I find them a bit creepy. But your film was great! I liked that a lot. And the careful descriptions are priceless.
Comment:
In your first part of fun parts, you explain twice they belong to the arachnids, not insects. It appears very soon one after another. I don't think you wanted that.
Lovely piece again, Sandra!

Oh, thank goodness you spotted that. I've taken it out, and rearanged that paragraph! Phew! If I had more space, I could have written so much more about them. I loved the film too, shame I can't put it in the book. Thank you so much, Marjon, for your lovely review, I really appreciated it. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Again, thanks for the nomination. You are welcome to the review. I love these funny animal stories!

How fun - even if I'm not a fan of spiders, you make them seem very interesting. Even though I liked crabs, when I learned that some crabs were of the spider family, that ruined my appetite for them. My favorite part was learning about the hummingbirds using the spider silk for their nests.

Thank you, Helen. Spiders aren't high on my list of favourites, either. In fact, they are one of my three least favourites. Spiders, snakes and rats. Not nice! I won't eat crab either! LOL. That the hummingbird uses spider silk for her nest was really amazing, I was so pleased I found a picture. Thank you for another lovely review, my friend. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, Ok a story....you talked me into it...as a kid I thought spiders were interesting...to my sisters dislike...I had a web in the corner of the wall in my bedroom...after awhile the web was starting to get bigger...one morning I was in the bathroom...and she(Spider) was in the sink...I tried the move her along...and all of a sudden...hundreds and hundreds of baby spiders were being born...I think my sister told my mother...don't quote me on that...but mom came walking in there...she started washing them out to sea...and told me to get the web off the wall...and now that I think about it...I found no reason why mom didn't wash my sister out to sea at birth...hmmmm...we clashed like oil and water...LOL...until we got older...
and until I got bit by a black widow spider...I didn't mind them...finding out how dangerous they are...I prefer to stay distance from them now...I worry about a brown reclusive...I have seen pictures...eeeeekkkkk...
WOW girl!!!! this is quit a selection of creepy spiders...but I do love the happy one...and if I lived in Hawaii I would be smiling to...at first I thought Graham drew it...you know the smile and all...tell Graham he is really getting good at drawing these critters...by the way...how much is he asking per picture???...
this was very interesting reading...I always thought the Tarantula could kill you with one bit...I love all your notes sweet girl...and love the different pictures...very well done my sweet amazing friend...this does take a lot of work...looking up all these guys...love you in bunches...and then some...Linda xxoo

LOL!! I would have been on your sister's side. I was scared stiff of spiders. I'm not so bad now, and after all this research, I'm feeling a lot better about these guys. Especially the pretty ones in the video. I must show Eric that, shame I can't put it in my book.
You were bitten by a black widow?? Oh my crikey! You must be made of sturdy stuff! I don't think I could live anywhere that had those large spiders. My garden ones are large enough for me. The size of a fingernail. :))
Thank you so much, my dear Linda, for the lovely shiny six and this wonderful review. Your story was the best, LOL, I can just see your sister's face when she saw all those babies! I hope your mother gave them all a rubber life belt before she flushed them out to sea!!
Sending you a big hug, my sweet friend, and loads of love. Say, hello to Noah for me. I hope you are all keeping well. :)) Sandra xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Graham gets his payment with a bread and butter pudding!!! His favourite. Lol.

you had to get to know her...she was a spider with her own personality...
the day I had to remove her home...was truly a sad day....
well you...you are so welcome my so amazing friend...smiling biggest smiles back at you...
sounds like a great pudding...lucky Graham...love to you both...much...xxoo
