Well, Harry, I am afraid that you're describing what the human race is all about. Peace is a lovely thought but an utopia. My generation has had a great run of living in peace, but that has all come to an abrupt end - unfortunately- All best, Ulla:)))

Yes, Ulla. I am afraid you are right. It is a great dream, but we are far from peace today. Thank you for your review. I really appreciate that!

I think someone once said, 'Life isn't fair' I've frequently used the phrase, it rather been influenced, I have selfishly thought that my life hasn't really experience the valleys that others, I've been fortunate that God revealed Himself to me at 41, and turned my confusion into certainty, not that I understand, but rather, He underpins meaning, beautifully written Harry, well done, blessings Roy,

You speak a lot of truth, and ask some very pertinent questions, Harry. I don't have any answers. It's such a sad world we live in for the poor and ill, the homeless and the starving. I can't see it ending any time soon. Your poem gives everyone thoughts to ponder on. Well done, and a Happy, Healthy 2025. Sandra xx

Your words are so true. It's a new year and we already had 3 shootings. I liked your poem. You listed all the concerns we have today. I like the way you ended it. Well written.

I know God is in charge, but I also know we as humans, have strayed from His teaching. It's my prayer that as a society we return to God's loving care. Thank you for sharing this poem with us.

You have pointed out many of our negative characteristics.
We must repair our spiritual house; it is divided into a kaleidoscope of negative consequences, driven by those who seek woke clarifications people, places, and times.
We must deny subjective, conjured definitions, that have confirmation in science or religion.
The answers are in the Bible.

Harry's soul-searching and heart-warming words have returned. They are a perfect reminder that the world is spinning off its axis and we are forgetting about the important things--love, joy, and peace. The rich think life is grand and forget about the smaller people who struggle every day to make things meet. We fight wars amongst ourselves and with those across the seas. It's all senseless. Happy New Year to YOU!
Hugs, Carol

This reads so lyrically, Harry, your fine words could almost be put to music. I too despair (as we all do) about our failure to achieve enduring peace in a war-ravaged world. Thank you for sharing your gentle but powerful post. Take care Debbie

This poem moves from large issues to easy-to-grasp examples nicely. War is big. A single gurney is easy to picture. Nicely done. I like the yearning for something better present in this poem.

Harry,
This is a great poem about love and war. The whole world has gone crazy and it seems that only the little people such as ourselves notice it. We need world peace.
Well done
