Wow! How fun! You did a great job! That was fun to read! Without knowing the requirements, I found the poem to be enjoyable. Even more so knowing the challenging prompts. This writer was able to create the retelling of a classic in a fun way. There were a few spots where it flowed better than others. ð???

Well, I have to say, you not only met the contest requirements but you exceeded them. Every line in this (monorhyme) works within the context of the story. Nothing seemed forced.

An amazing rework of a classic! Very descriptive and right in line with the original text.
The pacing also feels very omious to match the dark and proper tone in true, classic Gothic telling.

A good tricky poem entry. The text is a great size. The message is clear and fits the Christmas Story most of us know. I would drop the first line down a space. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.
