Charles,

Another great part of your book. I would be surprised if the corn made it to the east coast fresh. Probably was a little wilted and maybe even spoiled by the time it got there. I guess we will never know.

Great job

Cecilia

Yes, sir, it sure looks like big problems are coming, and you leave no doubt by telling us point-blank as the last statement in your chapter. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Once again this is an excellent read.

My Poppa always told us boys, "A little rain will always soften things. It is the storms a person needs to prepare for." (poppa because of the 'My')

I think Charlie is right, let's hope the mayor thinks so too. It would be his fault if problems came and it got out of control. Goodness knows what Ralph and Charlie would do if one of them gets hurt! I can't wait to read on, my friend. Well done. :)) Sandy. xxxx

A thoughtful and immersive snapshot of a town facing the challenges of progress. With more polished transitions and deeper exploration of the brewing "storm," it could become a truly compelling piece. Keep developing this rich world and its characters.

Hi Charles, yet another great chapter. Yes I can see the novelty of exporting the crops to eastern states. Progress is starting to happen.
...farmers out of business was yet(to be) experienced.
All best, Ulla :)))
