Diego Garcia-The Boat Ride

You did know how to have fun on Diego Garcia. I would have spent the time like you, watching the water for animals, especially after only the head of the first fish was caught. Good point saying you believed the captain knew what he was doing. Obviously not. Two suggestions: . . . poles ready, cast out lines, and set . . . . . . hanging on (as our lives did depend) on it. Very good story.

Thank you for sharing the story of this harrowing fishing trip. It's entertaining when you sit and read it, but I'm sure it was horrifying when you were in the boat watching the storm approach. The captain truly did not know what he was talking about, but he got you to shore safely.

Joan,
Thank you for the wonderful review. It was by the Grace of God that we made it back to shore in one piece. It was quite the scary experience.

My next novel post is about watching dolphins. We have them in the Gulf of Mexico and they're a lot fun to watch. Thank you for sharing this scary experience with us. I would have been deathly afraid.

Barbara,
Thank you for the wonderful review. I almost peed my pants I was so frightened. Probably could have and got away with it, because I was soaking wet.

How frightening this was as your ship almost capsized because of the storm after such a successful fishing trip. I was once on a ship called the Magellan and it was sailing to the Amazon. We got caught in a storm in the bay of Biscay which is notorious for storms. It was very frightening and we had to sail to the nearest port for shelter. I enjoyed your story Cecilia, thank you for sharing your experience with us here, love Dolly x

Dolly,
Thank you for the wonderful review. I appreciate it. They always tell you not to turn your back on the ocean. You never know what's coming next. Thank God for his guidance that day.

You went on quite a boat trip. It was so peaceful until the storm was upon you. I can imagine being frightened as the boat flew among the waves at times. The captain must have been surprised since he was sure there was nothing to worry about. You have written a sea faring adventure that I am sure others can relate to.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I appreciate it.
Yes the boat ride was great until it wasn't. It was very peaceful until the storm hit.

They should re-book and when far out to sea toss the captain overboard.
Very nicely written post. error-free as near as I can tell. Good work.
Very nice picture.

Melissa,
Thank you for the great review. Yes, it was pretty scary there for a little bit. I'm just thankful we arrived alive.

I think someone was telling you to get off that ocean and back on solid ground. I love the water, but I wouldn't be out there on one of those boats, especially with a captain who was too sure of himself. You were blessed to be safe.

Carol,
Thank you for the wonderful review. God had his hand on us the whole time. It could have ended a totally different way without him.
Love ya,

It's amazing how many can escape disaster a ses, but yet a little misjudgment, I was in a similar escape while in a 12 foot dingy, with a small outboard, but my friend was canny enough to recognise the danger, beautifully written Cecilia, , blessings Roy
Typo : Thundering and (lightening) one is hit by lightning, while lightening a load.

Roy,
Thank you for the wonderful review. God had his hand on us that day, otherwise the results could have been very different.
Thank you for finding the typo. I appreciate it.

I can believe this. Many time it happens. Dry and sunny on shore while we almost thread water out to sea. Amazing how all this goes together for the sake of balance. Thanks for sharing.
