Sir Eean McGalahad, the plaid knight, sallies forth on his faithful steed, "Sturdy," carrying aloft his trusty sword, "Owie," in search of his ladylove.
He has heard of a lassie by the name of "Reticent."
The maiden is shy and wary as she has been courted and deserted before and is hesitant to trust again.
She is, however, hopeful of meeting an honest, kind knight with a sparkle of fun who loves a word challenge.
Sir Eean has heard of Reticent from knights looking mentally exhausted after word-sparring with her. And he has an idea!
He goes to the nearest libe and checks out a book of "Knightly" words and their definitions. He studies it, studiously, and then sallies forth to find Sir McGalahad.
Your turn :)

This blows me away, give me a moment to respond. Gotta look up some Knightly words.

How true your words are. We have to keep moving on. Take one day at a time. Your picture depicts how important it is to keep going on. Well written.

We may crave loneliness, sometimes, but, when this leads to a total disconnect from those you love, then this is a time to fight back to reclaim that potential for intimacy. Your verse, Eean, is poignantly expressed to portray a sense of loss and love. My best, Debbie

So, what are you trying to say? LOL Thanks. It's true, every word. Are you a psychiatrist?

I wasn't sure if you were talking about yourself or the lady in the picture. You're always so cryptic:))

Cryptic. True, I don't have a lot of faith in the other sex, but that is not going to stop me. LOL From walking away that is.

And there was I thinking you were a romantic. I'm now shattered!

Lol, I lean that way. Face to face, I would blush when I speak to you. I get quiet when I'm jealous, but never angry. I'm unapologetically male but never overtly aggressive. I'm habitually chivalrous but love to tell a woman she's beautiful, without any expectations. I don't know how that translates to romantic, but I try. I just had a bad day in that area. LOL

Anyway, a guy longing for true love is sadly romantic, I think. LOL You are the most intelligent woman I correspond with. Surely you can feel that longing in a person's poem, at least for the sake of the poem.

Of course I can. Just teasing:)

We should never give up because there is hope and when we find it then we know what is true and what is worth our effort. May God bless you And give you a very good day. Patricia.

This is quite beautiful in its sadness. Yes, sadness can be beautiful. I know this because I have been present at the deaths of several loved ones and it was somehow the most beautiful thing i've ever experienced. Keep reaching for those emotions whatever they are. They are poems waiting to be written.

I watched my dad die of brain cancer. A breath, a sigh, and peace. It was such a relief. You are so right. You know, you might be more connected with humanity and a darker spirituality than most. It's kind of beautiful to hear. Don't be offended, it's okay to be beautiful. .

Eean,

This is a very beautiful poem. You are so talented and I don't know why you don't write more poems. God has given you a gift and you should share it with us more often.

Great job my friend and keep writing.

Cecilia

Nicely done. I could feel the ache of loneliness in your words. The way you described the "elusive kinship of soul" trembling is deeply moving. For me your poem paints such a beautiful picture of longing. Great job.
