It amazes me that you could think of something like a waving vine. If we had such a thing happen in real life, we would be frighten. Where did you get the ideas for your story? The pre-teens would love reading something like this....

Aaaah, yes, the magnificent Valentin... quite intriguing, isn't he? ;) :) Thank you for the encouragement! ;) :)

Like the imps, I am ready for the "devining." Where do you come up with this stuff? This is one of your most creative chapters. It is graphic in its fantastic descriptions. I am as excited as Groundskeeper Nicholas to see where are we gonna go? You create high expectations over the new character to be devined. I look forward to it.

Intriguing youthful, fanciful adventure. this is the first of the series that I've read. While it is not my cup of tea, it was excellently written. I immediately started visualizing the characters which speaks to me of your skill as a writer. nice going.

Ooo, Devine Valentin sounds like it's going to be another interesting character. That the vine can wave and light up so dramatically is fantastic. I can't wait to see what other magical powers it may have.

"Then the coolest thing happened: the end of every stem - of every curl or tendril or leaf - began to actually 'wave' at me." Oh my, how vividly I pictured every word, but especially this!
I'm so sorry, Yvette -- I am letting you down (and me!), but I just can't manage physically --I simply can't be on site for long stretches of time anymore. I DO so love this story! I will try again to do some catching up...

A very well-written chapter where Nicolas is introduced to the imps and they seem excited and accepting him as the Groundskeeper and will assist him wherever they can.

I love all the magical action in your story! It's very captivating and entertaining, and I'm sure it will be very delightful to a young audience, as well. You have such a great imagination and I appreciate the way you've given it free reign in here, with these wonderful characters. The waving tendrils are a lovely touch!
And I must also say that as much as I enjoy helping to proofread stories from some of our friends, that sometimes it's also a pleasure to read a clean copy, straight through.

Hooray!! A fan of the crazy blonde's imagination - LOL!! ;) Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed, Mary Kay, and am looking forward to having you on-board, my lady!! ;) Yvette

You're very welcome, my "crazy blonde" lady! Not crazy at all, just oodles of fun, and if you publish, it will be a real treat for some youngsters. I know that the kid in me really loves it -- she's not hard to find ;-) Love and blessings, Mary Kay

I love the luminescence vine whose tendrils can wave. It is like "Alice in Wonderland". I wrote about something like this in my "A Surrealistic Writing Class", too. The armadillo and the gnome are fun, too.
I want to read more now.
Well done.

'...iridescent ripple that ran from their point of contact along all the arms and shoots of the vine that covered the wall...' (What a great way to 'turn-on-the-overhead-lamp'.)
Another plant 'DeVine' character for the story. Fun.
