This works. The author makes it possible for me to inhabit his alternate reality. And if planet Earth needs a God to become a man in order to be tortured on a cross so that others can see the divine light, then Buddy's world needs a suffering child in order to bring on the Utopia.
The author uses words so carefully. Everything is easy to understand.
